According to a press release, Abu Dhabi and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) have partnered with web3 identity platform and NFT domain name provider Unstoppable Domains to distribute free crypto domains to all women living in the UAE capital.
In Abu Dhabi, where 50 percent of small and medium-sized businesses are already held by women, the move intends to improve possibilities for women to learn about web3 and eventually engage in it.
The program, which was also tweeted by ADIO, gives Abu Dhabi women a decentralized web address and digital identity that gives them full access over their data and content within a web3 area that they own.
As the emirate cranks up its attempts to become a Middle East crypto powerhouse, Abu Dhabi is trying to foster engagement in the web3 space by women from all walks of life.
