According to blockchain records, 165 ETH was sent to an address associated with @DarkWing84, the enigmatic entity in charge of the Bored Ape.
On OpenSea, the NFT still has a warning label stating it’s been flagged for suspicious behaviour, thereby preventing the item from changing hands on the platform.
Mr. Cheese, who goes by the handle DarkWing84, told BuzzFeed News that they had no idea the non-fungible token had been taken and that the purchase was conducted in good faith.
