Rally 2.0 on the Cards for VET After the PoA 2.0 Testnet Upgrade?

VeChain has been inking deals with both crypto and non-crypto industries. It was in the crypto spotlight just a fortnight ago after signing a $100 million sponsorship agreement with the UFC.

In the meantime, developers have been working hard to keep the project relevant in the face of ever-increasing competition. Since the beginning of this year, VeChain has made constant progress in terms of development activity, as seen below.

Upgrade to PoA 2.0 testnet: VeChain’s frosting on the cake

VeChain’s VIP-220 upgrade went live on the private test net a few hours ago. According to the researchers, the revision to their breakthrough Proof of Authority 2.0 consensus process is “a big milestone.”

As a result, VIP-220 would have a finality device, which would allow blocks to be validated twice. As a result, the Nakamoto consensus and the finality gadget, when used together, would make reverting transactions nearly hard. According to the foundation, the improvement might herald in a new wave of popular adoption in the future.

VeChain’s Chief Scientist Peter Zhou took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the change, saying,

  • “It’s a huge milestone for PoA2. With the finality gadget, VeChainThor blockchain is going to provide the state-of-the-art security while maintaining its high standard of performance.”
