Upgrade to PoA 2.0 testnet: VeChain’s frosting on the cake
VeChain’s VIP-220 upgrade went live on the private test net a few hours ago. According to the researchers, the revision to their breakthrough Proof of Authority 2.0 consensus process is “a big milestone.”
As a result, VIP-220 would have a finality device, which would allow blocks to be validated twice. As a result, the Nakamoto consensus and the finality gadget, when used together, would make reverting transactions nearly hard. According to the foundation, the improvement might herald in a new wave of popular adoption in the future.
VeChain’s Chief Scientist Peter Zhou took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the change, saying,
- “It’s a huge milestone for PoA2. With the finality gadget, VeChainThor blockchain is going to provide the state-of-the-art security while maintaining its high standard of performance.”
