Cardano (ADA): ready for mainnet upgrade to Vasil?

The new node 1.35.0 was recently successfully deployed by Cardano on its testnet. Cardano’s developer, IOHK, presented the community with a hard fork proposal for the Vasil update as a result of the encouraging results of the experiments.

The timer starts.

The impending rollout of the Vasil update on the Cardano mainnet was revealed on Twitter by IOHK. The business would have submitted a request to fork the testnet, for sure.

This information presupposes that Vasil 1.35.0 Stake Pool Operator (SPO) has control over at least 75% of stakes on the Cardano testnet. As a result, the network has attained the required chain density to carry out a hard fork without incident.

Nevertheless, for the testnet update to go through, the fork proposal must be approved by 75% of all operator nodes. This, in theory, ought to merely be a formality

In addition, IOHK intends to update the testnet following the beginning of epoch 215—likely on July 3 at 20:20 GMT. New resources will now be integrated and made accessible on the mainnet as a result.

The Cardano community was praised by IOHK for its unwavering support and enthusiasm in this endeavor. An assertion that is supported by a recent analysis from the crypto analytics company Santiment, which identifies Cardano as the blockchain with the highest level of development activity over the previous 30 days.

The enhancements Vasil made

The Vasil upgrade marks a significant advancement in the Cardano blockchain’s development. It can, in fact, greatly enhance network performance. Among other things, this results in faster transaction processing, richer and more effective development environments, and lower expenses.

In actuality, this is Cardano’s greatest update to date. Security is therefore given top attention by IOHK. SPOs, developers, and exchanges have a minimum of one month to test the network in light of this. Vasil, the next evolution of the Cardano mainnet, won’t happen until confirmation.

Leading phishing attacks is Cardona.
This information comes as Cardono’s ADA is one of the cryptocurrencies that phishing scams target the most. ADA was in fact the third most engaged token as of June 22 according to data from the startup Atlas VPN, with 191 attacks noted in the previous three months.

Like what, the ADA’s supporters are numerous among hackers who specialize in stealing cryptoassets. However, the crypto community as a whole is quite interested in the native Cardano token. Vasil’s introduction may even cause it to expand, giving Cardano a potent rival in the DeFi ecosystem.
