The first blockchain-based certificates were given to students from the Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development (MSBSD) in India. The organization did this by utilizing LegitDoc, an Ethereum-based system for document certification and verification (ETH).

The Indian government’s effort to combat bogus degrees includes this strategy. Additionally, the LegitDoc blockchain technology provides a safe and transparent framework to quickly and easily confirm the veracity of certification information.

Things are beginning to materialize.

A little more than a year ago, this event was first advertised. There were no rumors of Polygon scaling technology being used at the time. This recent change in direction indicates that the project’s initiators now anticipate higher demand. So, the issue is how to avoid a potential load rise.

The Indian government puts itself in the lead among nations that have implemented a comparable system for managing graduation data by working with LegitDoc. These include South Africa, Singapore, Malta, and the United States.

Credential certification is one of the most important use cases for blockchain technology. India is making a significant step toward blockchain technology with this project. The nation is still quite dubious of cryptocurrency, though.
