A brand-new, simple-to-use interface has been added to the Polkadot ecosystem to enhance the user experience for DOT holders. The Polkadot Decoded conference recently included the debut of this new staking dashboard. It debuts concurrently with Nomination Pools, which is presently available solely on Kusama. By eliminating the need for custodial services and third-party apps, it promotes native staking.
The Polkadot Staking dashboard’s peculiarity
First of all, Polkadot is a blockchain that was developed in 2017 and is both secure and scalable. Interoperability on specialized blockchains is provided. Features in the Polkadot Staking Dashboard enhance user experience.
- Nominated Proof-of-Stake (NPoS), a variation of Proof of Stake (PoS), is used to protect the network, choose validators, and stake tokens.
- a beta version that supports the Polkadot-JS and Talisman extensions, as well as, shortly, the Subwallet, and has an interface linked to the user’s wallet
- support for the Westend, Kusama, and Polkadot networks
The Polkadot Staking Dashboard’s advantages
The updated Polkadot stake design has the following features:
- Finding and selecting validators
- View payment history via interaction with the Subscan API
- Support for nomination pools is only at this time present on Kusama.
- support for read-only accounts on smartphones and other mobile devices
- RPC node extrinsic info from network-wide staking metrics improves decentralization
The whole Polkadot Staking app is now available.
The Polkadot Staking software has three functions that you should be aware of: Preview, Staking, and Validator.
The “Preview” feature
The ” Overview ” tab gives details about the network’s condition, the number of nominees, and the total DOT supply. A summary of the user’s staking statistics is also provided. The staked amount in relation to the free balance and the most recent staking payments can thus be consulted by the user. Finally, network staking settings that may have an impact on user rankings are displayed in the ” Announcements ” area.
The “Staking” feature
The user can access details about their staking activity in the ” Staking ” area. It provides a summary of how its parameters have been set up. He can choose his validators, change the number of his DOTs, start or stop the nomination, and choose the person who will get the cash.
The “Validators” feature
The entire network’s validators’ information is provided under the ” Validators ” tab. The user has the option to sort them by commission rate. Additionally, he can exclude validators who fall short of his standards (inactive, blocked, charging 100 percent commission, without identity, etc.). The user can bookmark their preferred validators in the ” Favorites ” tab once they have been sorted.
