7,000 Miles Away From The Attack, Guy Was Arrested For Tying a Woman Up And Stealing $3 Million In Cryptocurrency

A man who allegedly stole $3 million in cryptocurrency during a violent robbery has been apprehended 7,000 miles away from the scene of the alleged crime.

Zhang Tianzhe is accused of breaking into a California home, duct-taping a woman, and stealing millions from her bank account.

During the audacious attack, the 31-year-old allegedly wore ski goggles, a hood, and gloves. Prosecutors claim he threatened to torture the victim with a knife and gave orders through an iPad he wore around his neck.

After the March burglary, Zhang escaped to Taiwan, and American operatives tracked him down and traveled there to apprehend him.

He was arrested with $8,000 in cash, as well as a tablet, laptop, cryptocurrency wallets, and other proof of his crimes.

He’s now back in San Francisco, facing charges of first-degree domestic burglary, kidnapping for ransom, and criminal threats — yet he stayed silent when reporters met him at the airport.
