According to new research, the metaverse might contribute $3 trillion (€2.8 trillion) to global GDP within a decade if it evolves at the same rate as mobile technology in terms of adoption.
According to the report, a growth of the virtual world in Europe may represent a contribution of 1.7 percent – or $440 billion (€417 billion) – to the continent’s economy in ten years.
According to the paper, if mass use of metaverse technology began in 2022, it would contribute 2.8 percent to global GDP by 2031.
