INOVINE, a subsidiary of BAT, today announced the launch of a new cryptocurrency payment service, making it the first chain of kiosks in Croatia to accept cryptocurrency payments at physical points of sale. Since the project was completed in partnership with the business Electrocoin, customers in Croatia may now swiftly and securely pay with cryptocurrencies at more than 250 points of sale using the PayCek platform.
- “Digitalization and the introduction of innovations are key to the long-term improvement and sustainability of business, which is in line with the ESG strategy adopted at the level of the entire BAT Group,” said iNovin director Jurica Jurič. He also notes that iNovina continuously listens to the demands of the market, and the implementation of the system for processing crypto-payments enables adaptation of the business to new generations of customers who use less and less cash when paying.

Payment with cryptocurrencies is realized through Electrocoin’s PayCek platform, and it is possible to pay with 14 cryptocurrencies – bitcoin, ether, bitcoin cash, USDT, USDC, XRP, solana, litecoin, dai, stellar, dogecoin, eos, BUSD and near.
