Metaverse: Times Square invests the virtual universe of The Sandbox (SAND)

The metaverses clearly have the wind at their backs. The Sandbox has teamed up with American media firm TIME to recreate the fabled Times Square district of New York City on its digital grounds.

TIME decided to broaden its research of the cryptosphere by including the metaverse of The Sandbox after entering the cryptosphere with the introduction of its NFT community called “TIMEPieces.” More specifically, the two businesses are working together right now to develop a decentralized virtual version of Times Square.

The brand-new virtual community, known as “TIME Square,” will serve as a venue for commercial and artistic events that are driven by the TIMEPieces community. Additionally, he will adopt the same style and environment as his alter ego in the actual world.

As a refresher, Times Square is a fabled tourist destination where enormous, vibrant billboards draw large crowds. It is frequently referred to as “Crossroads of the World,” or “le carrefour du monde,” in French.

Therefore, this endeavor, according to Keith Grossman, CEO of TIME, aims to create a distinctive resort that will serve as the hub of the metaverse. The manager has already put out a call for applications in an effort to identify capable architects who will support this ambition.

Users that own TIMEPieces ecosystem tokens will be able to use TIME Square to access special services. In fact, preferred conditions for participation in exchanges, educational events, or social gatherings will benefit the community’s members. Additionally, they will be permitted to attend screenings of movies made by TIME Studios.

All TIME ventures, including the TIMEPieces community, the American daily newspaper Time Magazine, the video production company TIME Studios, and the educational platform TIME for Kids, will thus be gathered in one location under the name The Sandbox.

The Sandbox is currently regarded as one of the most developed and well-liked metaverses. His new partnership with TIME will only help him get more exposure.
